I am selling my 42 key DeCap Belgium street organ "The Iron Man".
Originaly started out as part of a larger DeCap pipe dance organ in 1928. In the early 1950s the hall that the organ was in, suffered an extensive fire and the dance organ was all but destroyed apart from much pipework and some of the front.
Perlee bought the bits and built up two organs out of one, The Iron Henry, which he still owns and the Iron Man.
The organ has a very rare original Art deco carved front made up from three sections. The organ is on a blower, but can be hand turned although at present it is belted up to a motor. It has 3 registers, Violin, Bourdon and Cancel, however, there are an extra two registers on the box, so far unused. The scale is standard 42 continental, so music is very easy and cheap to buy. The most appealing thing about this organ, to me, is the georgous DeCap violins that just sing at you.
Comes with 2 hrs of continental cut music and is on a 2 wheeled flat bed continental trailer.
I am looking for between £8,000-£10,000 as the organ is presented in 1st class condition and ready to rally.
