Hi folks.
Welcome to the new photo gallery for organ pictures.
I will be updating the Forum Help file to explain the use of the 'Upload Picture' facility, but I am sure that you will have figured it out by then!
You should see a new button on the posting form called 'Upload Picture'.
This launches the Uploader in a new window.
The uploader takes a picture file from your PC and resizes it, if required. It then saves it in a folder on the Organ Alley web site and inserts it (via a [IMG] BBCode) into your post.
Note that pictures are restricted in size to 450 by 450 pixels. This is for three reasons:
1. To limit the amount of space used on the web server.
2. To ensure that upload and download times are as short as possible.
3. To prevent the frames of the forum window from 'breaking'!
DO NOT attempt to upload a huge 1 megabyte image, as the image resizing program will not handle it and you will be left with a blank Imaging window! I have not determined what the maximum upload size is as yet.
Please ensure that there are no copyright issues with your picture postings!
Have fun,
Dave

Great stuff Dave.
I will now attempt to post a picture of Atkinsons Marenghi (ex Irvins).
I hope it works.

A very Historic Picture supplied by Alan Ralphs, of Tom Alberts "His Lordship" Showmans Engine and the Gavioli Organ ex Mr A Peters Golden Scenic Galloping Horses, making their first public outing at Musgrove Street Bolton , Coronation Day Street Party 1953.
The Organ plus a load of Music books was puchased by Alan Ralphs and Friends from Mr Peters for £50.
His Lordship is now owned by Graham Atkinson of Scarborough and the Gavioli Organ is owned by Don and Dorothy Robinson of Market Rasen.
Regards
George. |
