I went to last weeks Lincoln rally with Duncan Mallows and what a great event it is, with some cracking exhibits.

It is held on a large dedicated showground with a tarmac road accessing most of the site.

Despite a poor forecast, the weather held until late afternoon. The evening activities were unfortunately marred by a constant downpour.

We left site at about 10pm.

Some of the organs in attendance were (Thanks to Ben Jackson for some of the owners names):

(1) Dale Riley's Mortier

(2) Baldry's 98 key Limonaire.

(3) Malcolm Reeder's Gavioli

(4) The Robinson's Gavioli

(5) The Gallopers Gavioli

(6) The mighty Wonderland

(7) A nicely presented Gasparini

(8 ) Whites Gavioli

(9) The Grote Gavioli

(10) Another nice 89 key Gavioli, owned by Chris Doobs & Family.

(11) Stephen Simpson's Decap

(12) Sam Price's Bruder "Lioness"

(13) Nice little Limonaire in a nice big truck, owned by Dawson's.

(14) Colin & Liz Bullock's 46 keyless Bruder.

(15) Graham Atkinsons (ex Irvins) Marenghi and Steamer "The Iron Maiden"

Alan Pell pulls a pint from his 'barrel' organ!

The handturned section

A very carefully crafted model.

(As above)

An American Case steamer.

A 'portable' engine

A Swiss steamer with matching miniature

Probably the largest selection of miniature steamers I've ever seen!

A classic car transporter complete with classic cars!

Eddy Nickson jacking up the front flap of the Irvins Marenghi!

A great place to shelter from the rain!

Can you ride 'trandem' (is that the correct term?)

Evening activities...

Closedown...time for bed!

Regards, Dave

Hi Dave,
Pic number 10 which you put another nice Gavioli is Chris Doob's & family
89 key Gavioli.

Pic 14 is the 46 keyless Alfred Bruder owned by: Colin & Liz Bullock from Chilwell in Nottingham.

The nice little Limonaire in the lorrie, is the Dawson's Limonaire.

Pic number 2 is the Baldry's 98 key Limonaire.

I hope this info was help-full identifying the organs in the above pics.

Hi Ben and Eddy.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, the owners of the organs were very useful, thanks Ben, I will update the picture captions.

Yes Eddy, I will expect some good pics of Dorset!

Also, I had asked if someone could make a note of how many organs are in attendance at the GDSF, so that we can see what has been cut.

Best regards,

Dave
