North West Group Meeting

The next Meeting of the North West Group FOPS will be on Friday 21st September at the usual venue of Shawe Hall Community Centre, Church Road, Urmston, Manchester at 7.30pm.
David Guest will be presenting a Film Show from his extensive Vintage collection and Dave Stubbs will project his DVD of the Great Dorset Steam Fair onto the big screen.
Alan Guest is bringing one of his Midi operated Organs so that we can demonstrate a Midi Player new to the market place which stores the music on SD Memory cards instead of Floppy Discs or Eprom .
Tests so far have been a success and this new device may prove to supercede Casio,Yamaha and Viscount Midi players which all use Floppies and can be very unreliable as users will know.

You dont have to be a member to attend, everyone is welcome, refreshments are available during the interval

The North West Group Meeting on Friday last was very well attended considering we had one or two members away attending Rallies.
David Guest's film archives once again provided us with some interesting viewing, and Dave Stubbs came up with a cracker of a DVD of Great Dorset which is very different from the usual Rally DVD's We only had time for Episode 1 and everyone is looking forward to the next Episode.
The demonstration of the new Midi player resulted in a lot of interest and several members asked for more info on the player.
The good news is that the manufacturer of the device will be attending the Victoria Park Rally at Widnes this weekend with several units which he will demonstrate to anyone interested in purchasing.
