Alan Roberts informs me that he has been to visit the Organ Alley site at the GDSF.

He says that there is definately a 'Horticultural' section of some sort behind the alley, with the clue being a large haystack!

So he is still not sure which way the organs will be facing.

Exclamation This means that exhibitors must see Alan before choosing a site in the Alley Exclamation

He also informs me that the hedge at the front of the Alley seems to have acquired a ploughed ditch, so there will be no parking along side the hedge this year!

Watch this space for the latest update.

Best regards,

Dave Stubbs (Admin) Very Happy

Hi Folks!

I spoke to Alan Roberts this afternoon (Sunday 27th) and he informs me that everything in Organ Alley is pretty much as it was last year.

The Horticulture section does not appear to have moved any closer and Steam parking is behind the Alley, as usual.

According to the site plan that the GDSF issue to exhibitors, the Tractor Pulling had moved to the top of Heavy Haulage, but this does not seem to be the case, Alan says it is where it was last year. Let's hope that it hasn't moved any closer, as the sound of souped-up-turbo-powered-tractors is loud enough from where it is normally located!

The weather has been good so far, so keep your fingers (and everything else) crossed! Hot, dry and dusty, however unhealthy, is preferable to cold, wet and windy at the GDSF, trust me! The mud at the GDSF is a subtle blend of soil, chalk and flint and when very wet, turns to a curious form of concrete which takes a week to clean off!

This may be the last 'report' until I return. It depends whether there is an Internet feed anywhere on the site. If there is, I will endeavour to post updates as often as I can.

For those making the pilgrimage to the GDSF, I will wish you all a safe journey and hope to see you there.

Best Regards,

Dave Stubbs Very Happy
