The Great Dorset Steam Fair is a truly huge event, so these views are only a sample of what is on show:
The Millenium Wheel in the fairground dominates the horizon
Looking towards the Showmen's area from Organ Alley
Scrapheap Challenge comes to the Great Dorset; Presentor Robert Llewellyn has a laugh with the production team. The teams had to make 'Welly Wanging' machines! I heard that it will be shown next March.
Sheer power - This demonstration of multiple engines thunders around the Heavy Haulage arena
Crowds gather to watch the Heavy Haulage
More Heavy Haulage
A penny or a farthing for your thoughts!
Steam threshing
The Heavy Horse section demonstrates some traditional farming techniques
...er...the less said about this, the better!
A section of the Showmen's engine line up
A highly polished engine!
The Olde-Tyme fairground
The Cakewalk
Howard's Gallopers
The Chiappa organ in Harry Lee's Steam Yachts
A view from the Showmen's area
The morning Brasso session!
The NTET area in full steam
Anderton and Rowlands organ and engine
Steam sawing
The Land Girls are here!
Some comedian has put a speed camera in the Heavy Haulage!

The fairground at night, with Harry Lee's Steam Yachts in full swing!
An engine silhouetted against the GDSF night sky
The last sunrise of the 2006 Great Dorset Steam Fair This engine waits for departure on Monday morning.
