Hi All.
Re: George's and Pollafero's Cecilian push-ups - I've got one as well.
The serial number is 4698, June 17th 1903, so it's between the other two.

I believe the odd tracker bar is an attempt to compensate for the way a roll can change width depending on how dry - or damp - it is. The roll's centre holes are assumed to stay put, while those on either side move inwards or outwards depending on conditions. The effect is cumulative, so the tracker bar slots get longer the further they are from the centre.
No idea whether it worked or not!

Sorry for the delay in replying, but this forum doesn't have much activity these days, so I haven't been checking it!
George sold the player to another enthusiast, who said that you definately have to put a lot of effort into the pedalling, in comparison to other players.
