With the risk of boring you all to tears and just in case you weren't listening. Twinwoods Organ Festival is taking place on October 7th and 8th at the Glenn Miller Museum. Clapham. Bedford. All the artefacts of the museum and WW2 bunkers will be on display as will be the biggest collection of Organs in the country. If you have any interest whatsoever in Organs, you cannot afford to miss it. All on hard standing. Saturday evening entertainment laid on for you. Indoor bar. Catering on site. If you haven't booked your space, then you had better hurry.
bets regards. Bob West |

It is just six weeks to the Twinwoods Organ Festival. The biggest and best Organ Festival in the country specially devoted to the Organ enthusiast on a very interesting site. So folks, is there anyone intending to attend who has not yet let me know. If there is, would they please let me know ASAP.
No other event takes place on such an interesting venue, all hard standing in woodland surroundings. Indoor Bar, Catering on site. Saturday evening entertainment free for visitors staying over. Plenty of space for large organs and all small organs under cover. Organs promised are, Saunders 101 Mortier, Saunders 98 Gavioli, Phoenix Sotonian, Brian Wells Gavioli, Ray Bryant 69 key Dean, Ian Rogers with Lady Margaret, Richard and Sally Hutchinson with Colossus, Ian Crisp with the Pleur, Keith Pinner with his DeCap, Phil Ives with one of his Organs, Sam Price with his Bruder rep, Andrew Leach with a Bruder, Peter Smith with his Leach, Mike Garner and Mike Green with their respective Verbeek organs, Bob Essex with King Solomon,Neil and Marion Buckler with the Magic Accordeola, Martin Ivatt with the rep Gavioli, Pell organs in trailers presented by Shon and Yvonne Gosling, Ted Hemmings and Ernie Thomas. John and Dennis Dibb with 30 leach and Dave Heritage with McCarthy 30 also in trailers. I am hoping that Graham Atkinson will leave something after Bedford Rally. I am talking with the owners of an 84 Gavioli which has not been out for many years. In addition There is Roll cutter with his Organs and Alan Pell displaying his show and new products. John Smith will have his display there. Hiddo van Os is coming with two Organs from Holland. In the small halls/sheds will be over thirty hand turned organs from Perlee, Raffin, Hofbauer, Robert Hopp, Stuber, Fussell, Pell, own build, Gavioli/Alderman. Demonstrations of Music Composure and Punching, both Roll and Book. Showmans Steam engines . WW2 transport and artefacts. Fire Service Museum.
P.S. Latest news is that over 35 handturned organs will be present. This has to be the largest gathering of hand turned anywhere |

Well, the sun shined on Twinwoods and 62 Organs were playing and on display. Alan Roberts wishes to know thesecret of the success of Twinwoods , so I said we will ask some of the folk why they come. Well. the first guy we asked said that he was here because he didn't like organs but his wife brought him. " Didn't like Organs," yet he was enjoying the show, Alan and I were in stitches.
Thanks to everyone who came along. With an exhibit or not. Many thanks to the Accordian Trio who entertained, "ad-lib" all in the main hall on Saturday, Andrew Smith, Nick Williams and Alan Pell. Together with Woody's One-Man-Band a pleasant evening. Bob |
