I have read this document many times Dave and still can't find a satisfactory answer as regards Organ Playing in a Public Place.
The document seems to suggest that Local Authorities can designate areas such as Public Parks and Shopping areas so that individuals do not need to apply for a Temporary Event Notice Licence as long as they have permission from the Local Authority.
This would cover the Widnes Organ Rally which is held in a Public Park.
I am at the moment trying to contact someone in the Halton Council Licensing Office in the hope that I can get more info on the matter.
The bit on page 8 about bands playing at a wedding being exempt if you dont intend to make a profit from the event sums the whole legislation up for me.
By the way I am informed that a temporary licence costs £21 each time that one is issued.
It would be interesting to know if any Rally organizers have had problems with the regulations.
Regards
