It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I inform readers that my very old friend Jack Pugh has passed away aged 96.
Jack had managed to attend all of the Widnes rallies up to 2005 and really enjoyed chatting with old friends and listening to the Organs, unfortunately he was unable to visit this year due to health problems.
He was well known in Showmens circles for the quality of the swing boats that he made and his skill in Fair ground art was second to none.
Sometime ago he made me a present of some old 78 rpm records of Dutch organs which were made in the late 1920s and early 1930s which he had kept in pristine condition and Dave Stubbs and I managed to record them in mp3 .
I did put some of the mp3 files on the old FOPS forum, and I thought it would be nice to make them available on Organ Alley as a tribute to Jack.
Just click on the links:

RIP Jack.
