Lady Margaret should be appearing again at Dorset this year. Forms have been returned, so just wait the ticket.

Hope to see you all there.

Ian

I have just sent you an email, as I hadn't checked for posting on the forum.

Welcome to the Organ Alley website and forum.

How are things in Cornwall, I assume that you are not on the 'Rally-scene' at the moment? So I hope to see you at the GDSF.

Best regards,

Dave

Thanks Dave.

Weather is great, and been getting involved in the local rally scene with the 30 leach, and the handturn. Lady Maragret is still making her appearances in the Midlands, so I am doing the 300 mile drive to play her at the weekends. We will be at Hollowell this weekend, then Erewash, Cromford then Dorset. The other weekends, I have the smalkl organ out down here.

Margaret is playing well, and now has a Bandmaster and 2 ladies, playing tamberines. Can remember her without them now. Done some work on the blower box, increating air intacke and more filtration. Boxed in on the top of the organ, ready to take more lighting. The beds are gone, and we now don 2 fireside chairs instead.

Speak soon

Ian

Hi Ian.

Wot no beds! You don't mean that I am going to have to camp at the GDSF, surely not - They were really comfy those beds! Laughing

Look forward to seeing her Ladyship with all the new bells and whistles!

Best regards,

Dave

Having been to Dorset for many years either with the Saunders Gavioli or my Deleika, I now find that I cannot get in . Anyone got any bright ideas. It was at Dorset that I sold my Deleika which enabled me to buy my Raffin.

Hi Bob.

My understanding of the GDSF process is that they now operate a 'rotation' of organs over a few year period to keep the numbers down.

A few years ago at the GDSF there were 120 organs, whereas last year there were 80 (plus 10 AOBs). We can only hope that this does not reduce any further!

So you may find that you will be invited again next year.

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows what Ruud Brienen will be bringing to Doset this year, I met Ruud last year up at organ alley he always brings something nice from holland that is usually for sale, last year he bought De Oranjestad 2 a 72key street organ built on the Mortier System, did'dnt actually get two hear this organ as that wonderful 59key Marenghi De Insulinde was stealing all the electricity, I know that De Insulinde was sold to someone in the North East but I never found out who it was, does anyone know?

Thanks,
Edward.

Hi Eddy.

This may be rather late information (as the original post was July 2006!), but I received a phone call this afternoon (19th March 2007) from a gentleman called Paul Raymond, who is now the owner of 'De Insulinde' and resides in the Sunderland area.

He has only just found this post on the OA Forum and gave me a call to pass the information on to all interested parties.

I have his email and phone number if you wish to contact him. Just let me know on this thread and I will send them to you in a PM/email.

If you already knew who the owner was, then please let me know anyway!

Regards,

Dave Stubbs (at George's)

Hi Eddy.

Thanks for that, I think that the gentleman had only just found the OA Forum, hence the late reply.

Could I ask you to check that your email address is correct in your Profile. The Forum must have tried to send you a message to say that this thread had received a reply, but was unable to send it because your email address was invalid.

Thanks,

Dave
