Hi George
Thank you, to you and all your helpers and the local council for a great day out in Victoria Park Widnes on Saturday 29th September. Unfortunately I was only able to visit on the one day. We arrived early and left late.
I didn't take either of my two organs and so was able to wander about at my liesure, it was good to meet up with so many old friends and to be able to see so many spendid organs.
I was particularly drawn to two organs the Heesbeen (sp) with the two piano accordions and John Smith's "Juliana", both sounded very good and in good tune.
Johns "Julianna" was much improved from the many times that I have seen it before. I spent much time listening to it and was prompted to further listen to it on "Youtube" following my dose of the video "Dancin the Boogy Woogy".
John has at least three videos you can view, each seems to be better than the last, but none sounded as good as the organ did on Saturday, well done John.
My main interest is in the smaller self build organs, it was refreshing to see the superb workmanship that had gone into their making.
I can also recommend the fish shop just outside the park for it's well cooked products friendly staff and reasonable prices.
It follows that I am looking forward to next year.
